Lack of solid team is the issue for RCB for years, this defeat is no different. Virat, Badree played for them today rest around them went to sleep.
In every game issue with RCB, only one or two out of the playing 11 actually make any meaning full contribution. Rest of them are just pedestrians in the field. Yes apart from Virat, Gayle, ABD, Rahul(Last season), Starc rest of the unit for years have been just sore losers. One of the above must play a big role to take the game totally away from the opposition or else the RCB unit looks unfathomable. This year Kedar Jadhav seems to offer something to the batting unit that is good, Chahal has come of the age too but where is their impact all-rounder? or key wicket taking bowler or two? This has been their Achilles heel for a long time but they had a solution in the name Badree and over the last 3 seasons, he was selected for just 4 games only. This shows the lack of man management. To compensate Starc loss Tyle Mills is not a bad replacement but he is not a proven match winner to fill Starc shoes. This is the reason why 12 Crore looked not so good. Instead, a Patt Cummins with a couple of young Indian unique talented bowlers would have actually made the difference.
It’s almost impossible to win a tournament of IPL magnitude by totally depending on 3-4 players for all games. Look at rest if the talent: Abdulla, Negi, Binny, Mandeep, Aravind etc. It’s too much to ask of them for a match winning performances but a minimum of a meaning full contribution for the team is required. Can’t remember even one such from them. It’s almost similar that they are equal to ball boys who have the autonomy to the field inside boundary ropes.
Even if they don’t have genuine wicket taker or impact all-rounders, a talented pool of support players will win them games. It is shown by CSK for years, MI Indians have done it too. Honestly speaking these players have won them more games than the big dogs for the respective teams. RCB have never understood this and they suffer for it forever.
